What's up with Eurovision?

Although the 2020 Eurovision song contest has been canceled due to COVID-19, Israel has a track record of Eurovision winning songs. Here is Israel's would-be 2020 entry, followed by its 4 winning songs.

2020 Eurovision entry: Feker Libi

Feker Libi was preformed by Eden Alene and featured four different languages (Hebrew, Arabic, Amharic, and English) to highlight the fusion of cultures that exist in Israel.

2018 Winner: Toy, Netta Barzilai

"I'm not your toy (Not your toy) / You stupid boy (Stupid boy) / I'll take you down now, make you watch / We're dancing with my dolls on the motha-bucka beat"

1998 Winner: Diva, Dana International

"And when she cries / Diva is an angel / When she laughs / She's a devil / She is all beauty and love."

"Lamalhachim Diva he imperia / Al habama Diva he hysteria / Vehe kula / Shir a'ava"

1979 Winner: Hallejuah, Milk & Honey

"Hallelujah, sing a song / Hallelujah, we’ll follow along / With a simple word, a single word / We bless the sky, the tree, the bird / And we fill our heart with joy, Hallelujah"

"Hallelujah la’olam / Hallelujah, yashiru kulam / Bemila achat bodeda halev male bahamon toda / Veholem gam hu: eize olam nifla"

1978 Winner: A-Ba-Ni-Bi, Izhar Cohen & Alphabeta
