A peek into the music scene


Whether you are on a public bus or in a supermarket, you are bound to hear music in Israel. On TV, reality shows such as Kochav Noald determine the next artist who will represent Israel in the popular Eurovision contest. Many Israelis are heavily invested in Israeli music and concert venues around the country and popular with free concerts offered around the holidays. These are some more Israeli artists you should know:


Roni Dalumi

In 2009, Dalumi won the singing competition 'Kochav Nolad' at the age of 17, the youngest to ever win on the show. During her service in the IDF, Dalumi was a singer in an entertainment troupe.


Ori Ben Ari

Hit songs like Shemama and Le'phamim brought this artist to major popularity. With over 35 million views on YouTube and millions more on streaming services, Ben Ari has established his place in the Israeli music scene.


Mor

Mor made waves with her pop hit 'Tikra Le Mami'. She has reached millions of listeners through the internet and radio. In collaborations with other artists, Mor has been featured and performed in concert.


Avraham Tal

In 2008, Tal released his first album after concluding his army service. Throughout his career, Tal was the lead singer in his band 'Shotei HaNeuvah' and composed the soundtrack for the film Nimphot Ba Arafel (Nymphs in the mist).


Yuval Dayan

Dayan was born in Ashdod, Israel. She competed in the Israeli Voice and reached the semi-final round where she unexpectedly dropped out of the competition. Soon after, she released her first album 'Le'esof' which enjoyed wild success. Her following releases have been very well received.
